Welcome to our product page. We are small Ukrainian manufacture and all those goods which are usually done automatically in factories, we truly make by hand. Our name specifies the main scope of our craftwork. Klamra is the archaic word that was used in the meaning of a buckle in the Ukrainian language.

We get inspired, draw, create designs, cast, and process… it may not seem much work, but we do it with our own hands and from the heart.

We carry out the shipping of our products from Ukraine because each product requires an individual approach (selection of the appropriate width of the product, color or engraving, etc.). Express delivery is also available. Each product is carefully prepared, packed, and shipped within 1-2 business days. Although our product may arrive not as fast as desired, but believe me, it is worth the wait.

HOW WE DO IT.

The first step – sketching

Any of our stories begins with a sketch. Sometimes it happens suddenly, when the image of the future product appears before your eyes, you grab a napkin in the kitchen and start drawing. This is the beginning, creativity in its purest form. And sometimes, to come up with something, the whole team of 5 – 10 people is involved.

The second step – 3D modeling

At this stage, modern technologies come to aid. With the help of 3D modeling tools, we can create a future product with maximum detail, considering all the nuances of design and manufacturing process. At this point, we already know the final appearance of the item, its size, thickness and weight.

The third step – 3D modeling

Third step: 3D Printing.

At this stage, we give shape (create a model) to our product using SLA 3D printing technology with photopolymer resin. This is the most accurate technology that is ideal for our purposes.

The fourth step – creating a casting mold

Rubber mold made from the prepared 3D model provides the creation of a similar imprint on wax. The wax mold, which is the cornerstone of all jewelry casting, allows you to reveal the whole artistic idea of the product. Later on several prepared wax models are soldered together into a so-called “pattern tree” and prepared for further casting. Next, the tree is filled with gypsum which after calcination will form the pattern identical to the final cast.

The fifth step – low tide

It’s only now that appears something which becomes a final version of the brass item after processing. Melted brass is poured into gypsum pattern at a temperature of more than 900 degrees ∘C. Once the molds are cooled, the metal models are obtained and are prepared for the further processing.

The sixth step – primary buckle forming.

Now the product is subjected to rough processing: the buckles are cut off from the mold, the excess brass is removed, buckle pegs are soldered and the buckle is being processed through rough metal grinding.

The seventh step – patination

Adding a patina finish to a buckle is a process of artificial darkening of a metal. Due to this, after the final polishing some details on the surface of the buckle remain darker, while other become highlighted. And in that way the artistic design of the product is emphasized.

The eighth step – final polishing.

The finishing touches append the ultimate appearance to the buckle. After the frame made from brass wire is fastened to the buckle, the buckle is ready to be attached to the leather belt.
