The Genuine hand forged Nordic battle hammer ‘Vegvisir‘  is inspired in shape, form and decoration by the Norse legends. This personalized weapon has large Vegvisir pathfinder rune engraved on its head as well as leather grip to prevent slipping for efficient use when striking nails or steel with this Nordic battle hammer ‘Vegvisir !

Battle hammers were not as commonplace among Viking warriors and they were more often than not, seen an expensive weapon. Although these battle-axes do appear in Norse legend for instance with God Thor’s hammer Mjölnir; however most found their use by craftsmen or blacksmiths who would prefer it over swords when given the opportunity.

    I had mine ordered with an extended 30 inch shaft at no additional cost. I tested it by hitting some oak stumps and some bricks. It held up very well with some slight scratches against some bricks, but literally nothing against the dead oak. This would make for a fully functional hammer as a tool, but I’d recommend just keeping it for display purposes. Overall, I’m very happy with it and would recommend it. It is quite likely that I will order from this shop again.

    This hammer is awesome. Bought it as a best man gift for my brother. Can’t wait to give it to him. The wood box it comes in is solid and crafted well. The engraving is well done. Way heavier than it looks, very solid hammer. The etchings are beautifully done. It was delivered in a very timely manner. I collect quite a lot of melee weaponry, and this is beautifully crafted.

    The box and hammer arrived exactly on time, and look amazing! Quality craftsmanship. This hammer is solid, and heavy. I had a custom engraving done on the box, and some slight alterations to the head of the hammer, and they turned out exactly as I was hoping. Oh, and it was very well packaged. Lots of foam wrap keeping everything in perfect condition upon arrival. Will definitely look here again for more custom gifts.

It held up very well with some slight scratches against some bricks, but literally nothing against the dead oak. This would make for a fully functional hammer as a tool, but I’d recommend just keeping it for display purposes. Overall, I’m very happy with it and would recommend it. It is quite likely that I will order from this shop again.
